Role: Secretary
The role of the secretary has changed since the PCRS has administrators working with the organisation.
The tasks of the Secretary include:

  • Taking minutes at board meetings, or delegating this responsibility to the administrators, reviewing minutes ahead of their distribution, usually actioned by the administrators.
  • Works with the administrators to prepare and maintain records, such as minutes and committee reports, ensuring the accuracy and security of the records.
  • Assuming the leadership role if the Chair and Vice Chair are unavailable.
  • Liaising with the PCRS Administrator to ensure the charity commission return is completed and sent on time.
  • Ensuring the EAPC records of membership are kept up to date and the PCRS remains a member of EAPC

Role: Communications Officer
Working with the administrators, key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Development, implementation and evaluation of a range of fully integrated marketing communications, to support the delivery of activities.
  • Provide advice on communications planning, audiences, appropriate communication channels and key messages to ensure the most effective approaches.
  • Developing digital communications to engage with audiences, including website maintenance, monitoring of social media and online advertising.
  • Lead on quarterly Newsletter.
  • Ensure communications are consistent and compliant with branding, values, key messages and style guidelines
